To all who have helped light the way on my continuing journey home. In particular to my yoga teacher Godfrey Devereux
While walking around the little spinney, Pooh Bear noticed some footsteps in the snow and began to follow them, with many imaginings as to whose they could be, but still very much wanting to find their source. In time as he went around the spinney he noticed that another set of footsteps had joined the first and he became even more concerned as to the owner of these prints in the snow.
It was only when Christopher Robin happened along that he realized that the footsteps were his own ....

A little about Yoga:
In the practice of Yoga we are invited to re-discover the inherent unity of our being, and hence to find satisfaction in life however it might unfold for us. It is a very simple process. Far more simple than many would make it out to be.
Through the making of shapes within our posture practice we are changing the relationship of our body parts to each other. If we are well taught we learn to do this with sensitivity and hence safety. As our practice develops over time we become increasingly aware of the deeper subtleties of sensation within us and come (in time) to recognize the interconnectivity of all the parts of our bodies.
This intimacy, this noticing of connection through and within us, then naturally extends beyond ourselves into a deepening awareness and appreciation of relationship: with our intimate others, with our community and ultimately with all that exists.
Yoga then becomes an invitation to participate in and to honour this unity, leading inevitably to a deep and abiding appreciation of life just as it is, however it may manifest for us. So while our practice may begin with intent, with the deliberate taking of actions, it leads inevitably to the surrender of all intent and a natural and joyous spontaneity in the living of our everyday lives.
Dynamic Yoga refers to the inner dynamic of awareness and energetic flow within the body and not to any externally apparent physical activity that may or may not be happening.
Advaita Yoga: Advaita means non-dual and refers to the wholeness, the completeness of all that is, so that the practice of Yoga in this context becomes a participation in and celebration of this wholeness, as much as a means to its realization.
